Coles Bentley A shit of a job. 11 lanes to upgrade. Only need to change a PC but the cables are mismatched and most of the new PC’s are left overs from previous installations. So the software is wrong. 4 back office computers are also to be replaced. That was easy and straight forward. The shop was open and customers a distraction. The software updates took much longer than expected because the documentation supplied to me was for different equipment. 8 hours and I only managed to upgrade 6 of the 11 lanes and the 4 back office computers. The manager was unhappy but screw him, I needed to get on a plane at 5:15pm to fly to Geraldton. I got to the airport at 5:15pm exactly but that was the take off time, not the check in time. Missed the flight! Thursday 21 Jan 2010: 10:00am – I’m in the airport bored and there are free internet access terminals. I mess around a little, send and email, check the news and say hello to YouN00b. On the news web site I address bar javascripted a document source change to one of the photo’s to link to a head shot of me and left it there. Some little 13yo kid walked to the internet terminal and looks at the page I left. He does a quick double take and checks me out sitting about ten paces away then runs off to find his mum. The article was about some rapist and there’s me staring at him from the web page. 1:30pm – Geraldton Liquorland. The shop is empty and my new equipment is way over the other side of the shopping center. While I am waiting I snapped a couple of photo’s of the nearly empty cool room and main area. Cool room  Main Shop Area  6:00pm – Geraldton Hotel/Motel Main Room  Entry/Kitchen  bathroom  Mini Bar (Piss poor effort)  I had room number 22 and about 7pm I heard a car pull up out front and then the door to room 21 bang shut. I went out to have a coffee and a smoke and saw a Google Map car. Here’s some close-ups. Google Car 1
