They dehydrate foods for a number of reasons (jerky is dehydrated raw meat!) including preserving foodstuffs. Then it's "just add water!" and it's back to normal. Hikers apparently use dehydrated food. Have you ever seen the powder that you just add water to and it turns into mashed potato? So dehydrated water is nothing, water without the water, just an empty can. But as soon as you add water, you have instant water! |
