ecko Member 'MMA Expert' Level 27 Posts: 1,782 Submissions: 66 | The UFC is, "The Ultimate Fighting Championship". Basically the largest MMA leauge. They brought MMA to America. "The Wolves" is meant by... here take this example. The UFC signed Elvis to a 5 fight contract (I think it was), and he literally fought the 5 best fighters in his weight class at the time... they didn't help build him up by fighting someone who is also debuting for their first fight in the UFC. They basically expected him to lose. He get's dropped cause he couldn't win. He had a few fights in local Aussie shows. Then... even worse, they call him up one more time, and have him fight one of the UFC's posterboys, who was huge at the time, and Elvis lost. The guy can't catch a break ever. He is a submission guy, a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. So in a local Aussie show he got a guy to the ground, and was going for submission after submission, every time he caught the guy, the ref would stop it just before the guy tapped, and made them stand back up (If there is no action on the ground the ref stand fighters back up). So finally on like the 10th time the ref stood them up, Elvis just quit, just walked out of the cage. Now he has recorded as "Loss - By submission (Frustration), I think they did it to be dicks. I feel so fucking bad for him, because he got fucked over and over, and I heard he is probably the nicest guy you will ever meet.  |
