But since we have a few new members here, I think I should bring them up again. Mind you, these don't supersede nor modify the legal agreement. Flaming Generally tolerated, unless it starts to become an issue across the site. If you're looking to "battle it out" in public, please create a topic in the Open Discussion forum. Trolling Everybody makes a "trolling post" here and there, but to designate your account solely for trolling, that isn't tolerable. Bumping Accidental bumps do happen, and sometimes you'll find an old topic worth replying to. In these circumstances bumping is excusable. If you're adding something of substance to a topic, then it is fine. Whether or not it is "something of substance" is up to a particular mods discretion at any given time. Images/Links Pornographic, highly offensive, or images used for XSRF/XSS cannot be shown on this site. If it is something to be talked about, please make sure to link to it with a warning of its contents. This applies to shock sites (pornographic or not) such as Rick Rolling. Do remember that most shock site links and images will cause your entire post to disappear automatically by the forum system. And never, ever post them with other site's logos. Example of a good warning: Warning - Anal sex, exposed schlongs, etc Meatspin Do not reduce the font, change the font color, or alter the attributes of the font that reduces legibility. Spamming Do I really have to say no to this one? Derailing There has never really been an official rule here in the past. Normal conversation will tend to "off-shoot" new ideas, etc. Moderators will issue warnings before bans for this. I will leave it to moderator discretion whether or not the original topic's goal is dead, and whether to allow the derail to continue, or attempt to re-rail the topic. Personal Information Posting personal information is probably the worst offense you can do on this site. If an E-Mail account, messenger account, etc is yours, you must be able to prove it is yours. While these are too serious, you should be careful about posting them. On the very serious side of things, addresses, names (besides first), phone numbers, social networking links (MySpace, Facebook, etc), drivers license numbers, social security numbers, etc (you get the hint) should never be posted. Posting these will cause your session to be ended, your account to be locked out, your IP to be banned and worst off: OMG Post deletion! Posting Warez DO NOT post links to warez without using the WAREZ BBCode tag. Supplements From the members. List below rules you think that should be changed/added. I agree, but I think unless it becomes a repeated problem, that a simple "Check the post dates before posting" should be enough. I never thought bumping was worth a ban. The rest I think its pretty good, and I have nothing else to add. |
