 Doopliss Member Level 2 Posts: 114  | Hey everyone. I just wanted to let you know that my band and I finally recorded our first songs. The shortest song we have is going to be released as soon as I'm able to mix and master it for now. However, if you want to hear an instrumental 2 minute preview of our 15 minute song, check out the Mediafire link below. LINK Note: It's such a large file because I bounced it out to a .wav format so it wouldn't sound as shitty as an MP3. Doopliss Member Level 2 Posts: 114 | Well obviously. I'm not going to school for this to make music that sounds like that. We just bounced it out with all of the faders at unity gain so that's why it sounds like shit. Those guitar and bass tracks were all Direct In anyway and not recorded electric with amps and that was the first take. I still need to edit, mix, and master the shit out of it. |

Not sure I really like the 2 minute preview - not quite to my taste. But the score has a memorable melody - very catchy in fact. |

Doopliss Member Level 2 Posts: 114 | No EQ, Colin. As I previously stated, all the faders were at the same level. If you don't like the preview, you probably won't enjoy the song, however, there are plenty of different parts throughout the 15 minute duration, so who knows? |

Doopliss Member Level 2 Posts: 114 | I'm going to edit/mix/master the shortest song we have this Saturday for 16 hours approximately just because I have access to all that time, so why not use it all? I hope that I can have an MP3 bounce of it up sometime on Sunday! That's what my goal is. |
