Rotterdam Police in the Netherlands said the four-week study suggested that criminals, many of them violent, were calmer when orange scent was circulated through cell air vents, according to a report in the Daily Telegraph. "It's amazing, fighting in the cells has been dramatically reduced and we are using 10 percent fewer sedation drugs," Herma Heester, head of police social services, told the Telegraph.
