Three Story Building Swallowed By Sink Hole

Quote:
I
n the northern part of Guatemala City, the downpour created a giant sinkhole that swallowed up a space larger than the area of a street intersection. Residents told CNN that a three-story building and a house fell into the hole.

A local newspaper reported that a private security guard was killed when the sinkhole opened up, but authorities had not confirmed the fatality. Residents said that a poor sewage drainage system underground was to blame for the sinkhole. A similar hole opened up nearby last year, they said.

Skinny robbers sneaking through cat flaps

Quote:
S
kinny young burglars are breaking into Tasmanian homes through cat and dog flaps.

Glenorchy CIB inspector David Plumpton said criminals as young as 13 were getting into houses through open windows and doors and through dog and cat flaps, The Mercury reports.

"There has been a run of opportunistic theft where offenders will try to get into locked houses and then move on to places with easier access," he said.

"The smaller offenders are even managing to get in through cat and dog flaps.

"We have charged a number of juvenile offenders in recent weeks and we reiterate calls for residents to ensure doors and windows and other access points are secured when they go out or to bed."

olice say four teenagers trying to hold their breath for the time it takes to drive were hurt when the driver fainted.

Authorities say three 19-year-old men and a 16-year-old boy were traveling together late Monday night when they decided to try to hold their breath while riding through Garbutt, a rural Rochester-area hamlet in New York that's just three-tenths of a mile long, reports Foxnews.com

Monroe County sheriff's deputies say 19-year-old Bryan Parslow of Caledonia fainted while driving and his car hit a boulder.

All four teens were treated at a hospital and released.

Yeah, a very cool sink hole, as far as sink holes go. And even more so because it's not in my back yard!

Yeah, that's a mad picture! It looks sorta like a bad phhotoshop job, lol.

That's ridiculous about the driver holding his breath until the point that he actually passed out! I think I'd have given in a little before that point!

Ein Schrei wird zum Himmel fahren, Schneidet sich durch Engelsscharen. "Mein herz brennt, gib mir kraft." Der kalte Mond in voller Pracht hört die Schreie in der Nacht... und kein Engel steigt herab.
