Anyone have a suggestion to the best method for selecting the Flash Game of the Week?

We can have a Game Suggestion thread, where members can bump with the name and/or a link whenever they come across a decent game. Then we can have a weekly poll.

We can base the GOTW on several other sites 'most popular' games, and I'll just update it and surprise you all.

I can pick members at random once a week and let them suggest their favorite game.

...Any other ideas?

Basing it on another site would be the easiest method though. We should get an arcade on the site, and have a way of submitting our scores to a leaderboard or something.

A poll would be too much hassle for you to do every week and people would stop voting (dare I say "Egg Spotlight", I definately think the surprise selection from top rated ones is a good idea.

Also, I think you should change it on the same day every week if you're able to so that we know when a new one will be out. Or even just make a topic and bump it each time you update it so that we know to check it out.

I agree with polling being difficult and becoming something that gets ignored. I can bump a GOTW thread every Sunday until SysOp changes things around. If no one disagrees by the time I get up tomorrow, that's what I'll be doing.
