I'm sure most if not all of you have noticed that a good share of YN used to be all .html files. This was done when the site was built to aid in search engine listings, however there have been adjustments (URL Rewrites) put into place to make the URLs future proof, and make this SEO issue non-existent. You will start noticing that YN will start using .PHP extensions on pages, gradually phasing out .HTML pages wherever possible. This will make YN more portable, and require less oddball server configuration. The reason I'm doing this, is in hopes that YN will only get bigger, and that I will no longer be able to run it from my home server, and instead will have to enlist a commercial hosting company full-time. If you're not into serving, programing, etc, than this may be more than you care to know. For those, just send me broken links, or post them here so I can fix them. |
