Also you should visit Sparta just for the badassery. Israel is awesome from what I hear; 3 of my roommates got to go there for free (If you are Jewish and under 26 years old, you get a free 10 day trip to the Holy Land for your 'birthright' through the Taglit organization) and they had an awesome time. Good hash if you are into that sort of thing. Also hot Jewish girls. |

If I stay here, everything is payed for, I live at my parents, and I will have 0 dollars to owe. There is also the question of me getting my hormones, which I intend to get as soon as I can once my 18th birthday rolls around. I would feel extremely uncomfortable being in a totally new place, and be in the process of transitioning. So, probably not until I have the money, no. I was actually taking a liking to moving to one of the Floridian islands, like Key West or St. George. It's sickeningly liberal in such areas, run entirely by local business (for the most part), on the beach, some of the most relaxing places to be, and very nice people. |

Had to stay in VA to get it but it's worth having 0 debt while my classmates are swimming in unpaid student loans up to their eyeballs. Only 2 more years in college though and I'm free! It would be tight to live in Florida but going to school out here in Nowheresville has made me appreciate how fucking far money can go away from the big cities. You can buy a few acres of land with a mansion on it down here for less than some townhouses will cost you back at home in DC. |

A small house in the suburbs will run you up to 350,000 dollars if the market is right. Our house, 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bath, 2,500 or so square feet, great location, was 350,000 when it was appraised like 7 years ago. It has gone nowhere but up since then. Too pricey? Then you should hear about beach houses. No, we should start at beach property first. A small lot of land, (Which, by the way, will be hard to come by since every island is practically owned by renting realty), can run you from anywhere to holy shit, and take out a second mortgage. Of course, building it would be so expensive, it'd be easier to just buy a house, right? Too bad it's not. At least half of all the houses on islands are owned by realtors and rented out. Houses that stay on the market too long will be bought up by realtors. And it's not like those houses were in the high 800, 900 thousands for something small. There is, however, gated communities that realtors can't rent out houses. But, these are not beach houses by any definition, except that they are sort of close to a beach. They are extremely expensive, and small. But yeah, if you have the money, great place. |

Man, I wish my house price went up in the past 5 years. I paid $225k five years ago for a 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, 2600 sq ft house with 2 car attached garage (no basement though). I'd be lucky if my house was worth $180k at this point. We have 4 foreclosed homes on my block alone. Trying to sell a house here is like trying to sell an American flag to a terrorist. As far as Greece....I'd personally check out the parthenon and get some pics of that. Also, I'd stab as much Greecian vagina as possible and film it. |
