I've done some research today on different users of the site.

I first looked up the FLASH version people were running:

Good to see that most of you are running the latest flash version. For those of you that aren't, please visit Adobe Flash and download the latest version.

Why?
Security and features of the latest revision are improved...Although YN does support the older versions, and functionality of the site should not be affected.

Next up: Java

Excellent that so many of you have browsers that support Java, which will be needed in YN2 for basic tasks. YN1 is pretty good at falling back if you don't have it, but you should still get it.

Version 6 Update 11 is the latest version, however this page will always have the latest, even when this revision gets updated.

I also checked OS's and screen color depth/resolution. Most of you are good, but for those at 1024x768, I would suggest going to 1280x800.

Browsers

As you can imagine, I'm not happy about how green that is, although the blue is goodMember Added Image

Get Firefox to reduce the amount of troubleshooting headaches I have.

kthx

Browsing the web with Internet Explorer is like showering in prison without soap on a rope; if you drop your guard (and the soap) your ass is going to get exploited and violated.

What if I'm in between? I run a 1152x864 resolution.

VERY true.

That's good too...The site was developed for the 1280x800, but YN2 will have better support for lower resolutions.

Firefox is Netscapes successor, however for some reason somebody is using some outdated ass browser.

Good luck keeping that computer long.

Back in the day (over 10 years ago) I used Netscape.
I personally like Firefox; I know that Google has Chrome out, and there are some other browsers out there, but to be honest, Firefox works good for me, so I haven't seen a good reason to even try something else.

^Same here, I never even downloaded "Chrome"...besides, that sounds like a Gizzoogle resolution to the market.

Not to long the SEC will be on top of Google for monopolization, just like Microsoft. I wouldn't trust Chrome anyway, too much of a reward to make it spyware for Google.

It gathers a lot of information about your browsing habits to try and give you a better browsing experience or some shit.
