It's not that I don't want to hear what people are saying, it's that they should keep it in their own threads, hence "threaded" discussion. The "Open" one is better for the traditional YouN00b conversational threads. The idea was suggested by BBH, and seems like a good idea...I just hope it helps keep the other topics on the site a little cleaner. |

| DarkestAngel Removed Account | BA - I think once people get the hang of this, we will see results. We just need to show a little more (reasonable amount) of patience while people adjust. This will give people the area we like for discussions amongst all of us, while still giving serious threads. Emails just don't work for discussions, because they're only between person A and B. I have faith that people on this site can handle this change well. We will sort out the serious from the immature soon enough, when people push buttons daring us to ban. |

| DarkestAngel Removed Account | If posts were awarded for the new open discussion as well as the on-topic threads, no one would bother with the on-topic threads. This insures if you want points, you do something constructive in those threads as well. It may be worth considering eventually allowing posts to count in the open discussion, but I highly, highly doubt, with so few members, we'll keep the threaded forums jumping enough to for BA to even consider it. |
