What do you think about this?

Quote Google:
we're announcing a new project that's a natural extension of Google Chrome — the Google Chrome Operating System. It's our attempt to re-think what operating systems should be.

Google Chrome OS is an open source, lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted at netbooks. Later this year we will open-source its code, and netbooks running Google Chrome OS will be available for consumers in the second half of 2010. Because we're already talking to partners about the project, and we'll soon be working with the open source community, we wanted to share our vision now so everyone understands what we are trying to achieve.

It's stupid. Google is starting to get a little too greedy.

Microsoft will always own OS's.

^EXACTLY what I was thinking. I don't care for Linux, the last thing I need is another rebranded can of shit.

Stopped reading at that line. It's sad, actually, that everybody is too scared to start a new OS, so instead you have Microsoft and Linux as your only options, one with multiple variants. Mac doesn't qualify as an OS because Macs are gay.

Another thing, as odd as it is to say, I trust Microsoft before Google. Google's chief revenue is based off of advertising, with the search engine being solely for data collection, and a means to advertise it.

We're all familiar with these tactics already. You turn on a TV station (which always has a specific show on, or the station is built around specific shows), and amazingly you see commercials that blend right into the network. For example, late at night, you'll see plenty of "Sleep Number Bed" commercials, on BET, you'll probably see Hennessy commercials, etc.

This is a sort of "data collection", because the channel only appeals to that sort of audience. Google, analyzes your queries on their search engine to find your niche. Since the internet doesn't show commercials, ads based on these niches are where the revenue comes from.

Before it comes up, I will address Live Search and Bing. Although these are also entities of Microsoft, these are not their chief products, and they could easily maintain economic viability based on products like Office, Windows, ASP, IIS, C++, and VB. So I, personally, can't forsee Microsoft investing the time to grab information about what is on your computer, or what you're looking at online, and trying to sell you more of what you already have. Google, on the other hand, I can.

I imagine it will be a dropped project just like 90% of their projects.

I trust google about as far as I can shoot a baby out of my vagina. And I'm a dude.

I'm strongly contemplating replacing my home page (Google) with another search engine entirely.

"Ah that's one thing about our Harry, doesn't play any favorites! Harry hates everybody: Limeys, Micks, Hebes, Fat Dagos, Niggers, Honkies, Chinks, you name it."

I saw an ad on TV for one the other day and it seemed like it would be good, but I can't remember the name.

DLB, It's probably that Bing thing, which is another Microsoft Search Engine. I've heard it sucks, but I was impressed that YN was on there. I assume the LiveBot that always crawled the site also is part of Bing.

Bing should stick to singing gay songs, not searching for shit.

No fool, Bing Crosby.

Also, I'm not a gray haired dick-tickler. BUT, I am made of rubber, and you're made of glue, bitch.
